- Submit claim online through settlement website
Red alert to all Oregonians that purchased a television monitor, or notebook with an LCD Flat Panel Screen between 2002 and 2006 or a Cathode Ray Tube Screen between 2002 and 2007. Oregonians who have purchased these items may be entitled to some cold hard cash as two lawsuits have been filed by the Oregon Attorney General.
The first of the two lawsuits is the LCD Lawsuit. This lawsuit alleges that the LCD manufacturers illegally agreed upon the pricing of the LCD screens in question. The total settlement made by the Oregon Attorney General with all LCD defendants is a lip-smacking $21,505,000. Oregonians that purchased LCD panels in flat panel TV’s, monitors, or notebooks between 2002 and 2006 may be entitled to a piece of the pie!
The second of the two lawsuits is the CRT Lawsuit. Just like the LCD case, the CRT lawsuit alleges that manufacturers illegally agreed upon the pricing of the CRTs. This lawsuit is still pending but Oregonians who purchased TVs, monitors, or notebooks that include a CRT can go to the settlement website for more information. The information found on the settlement website includes information on how to register for the CRT lawsuit.
Oregonians who believe they are entitled to a portion of the LCD settlement may now submit a claim form through the settlement webpage. At this time there has been no determination on the deadline to submit a claim. Those who do not want to be legally bound by the terms of the settlement may exclude themselves from the settlement. Exclusions must be made by the date of January 15th, 2016 and can be made through the settlement website. Those who do not act at all will get no benefit from the lawsuit and give up all rights.
