Texas eComm Direct
- Allows loved ones to make deposites into a offenders account who is incarcerated in a TDCJ facility
- The service also allows the loved one to purchase commissary goods for the offender
- The website is managed by Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the State of Texas – 1-877-452-9060
This service provides better protection and control over the funds sent by loved ones and will be available to the offender three business days after the TDCJ receives the order (commissary items) AND two business days for Trust Fund account deposits.
Texas eComm Talking Points
- Loved ones must register for an account before purchases can be made/sent
- eCommDirect Store is closed weeknight from 8:30 PM CST to 4:00 AM CST
- Loved ones can send the jail-bird up to $60.00 in goods per calendar quarter and one per day
- Calendar quarters are defined as January – March; April – June; July – September and October – December
- Offender Trust Fund deposits can be made at anytime but are limited to $300 per deposit
- Texas eComm accepts payment via MASTERCARD or VISA credit card
- Loved ones must be 18 years of age or older and have the offenders last name and offender ID when making a purchase
- No credit or refund shall be given for items purchased but not received by the intended recipient due to that person’s release, change in custody level or other sanction which would not allow receipt of goods and ALL SALES ARE FINAL under Texas state law
- If a certain commissary product is not available for 30 days the cost of the product will be reimbursed into the offenders Trust Fund Account
- Any extortion schemes should be reported to the Unit Warden or the Office of Inspector General
