The service also provides information in regards to filing for unemployment benefits in the state of West Virginia. To file a claim the resident must visit their West Virginia UC Claims office anytime between 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9:00 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday. Claim offices are closed on all Federal and State Holidays to include Christmas, New Years Day and Veterans Day. When filing a claim in the state of West Virgina be sure to bring the claimants social security card, a Government issued photo ID and for military members a DD214.
